One of the things I like about using the internet to make money is that there are so many ways to do it. A lot of the time it's not real obvious, but just about every site on the internet is there to make money. If you don't think sites like Google and Twitter are making a profit, you have a lot to learn. My site even makes money, and at the time of this writing I don't have a single product for sale on it. I'm a nice guy and don't mind sharing information with other people, but I have to eat too. All I'm saying is that it's just amazing how many opportunities are available to you if you're creative. The best part is you don't even have to leave home. It sure is nice to be living in the 21st century.

I have to admit that out all the businesses I've been involved with that have been profitable, eBay is probably the simplest and least risky if you play your cards right. Listing an item to sell is a lot easier than most people realize that have never tried it. All you have to do is fill in the blanks and the next thing you know you have an item up for auction. You can also limit your financial risk by starting out selling things around your house. This gives you a chance to get a fill for the market and learn the ropes before making an investment with your own money. Once you're comfortable, you can start reinvesting the money you made to purchase products you'll be selling.

The problem with an eBay business is it's usually going to require you to be actively involved on a daily basis. If you're looking for a business that creates mostly passive income, then you may want to look in to a different internet business to make money. But, keep in mind that eBay is less riskier than most opportunities out there and will just about always make you a profit faster than other internet businesses.

The next online business I really like is affiliate marketing. In recent years, this has become the home business of choice among most internet entrepreneurs. If you're looking for passive income, then affiliate marketing offers you some of the best chances of achieving that goal. Warning! If you don't devote a substantial amount of time to building this business, you're highly unlikely to generate enough income to amount to anything. If you don't mind working without making any money for a while, this is probably the business for you. Just keep in mind that you could possibly be out a tremendous amount of your time and make very little money, but even if you only make $50 a month after you get everything set up, that's $50 you make for doing almost nothing. Once you have 10 of these programs up and running on there own that's $500 a month. Are you starting to see how you can make a lot of money in the long run? You'll probably make more than $50 with each. I just like to use conservative estimates.

Just like with any traditional business, you need to figure out what your goals are and what you think you'll enjoy the most. Then, you can choose the best business for you based on that information. Don't worry about not knowing how to run the business you chose. You can learn everything you need to know while you're building it. You don't even have to spend much money most of the time.
